I think it's amazing the way he played with Bob Weir. I have a stack of Jerry Garcia Band shows, and I love them. But Garcia & Weir, well. Funnily enough, I can remember the evening when I was turned onto the Dead, 28 years ago. Remember it clearly. We were listening to the live Grateful Dead (1971). My friend pointed at one of the speakers and said: "Listen to Weir". And I did. There was Weir. And there was Garcia ducking in and out on the other speaker. and there was Lesh swooping and bobbling about, everywhere.
