    You mean best Seattle band?

    My favourites:

    1 - The Melvins
    2 - Nirvana
    3 - Mudhoney

Soundgraden's Badmotorfinger was a good album. Can't say I liked anything afterwards. Chris Cornell's new material is a joke.

I don't think any grunge band has really added to what the Melvins have done.

Wait, Cornell's new material can be actually called "material" at all?

I was waiting for him to appear on American Idol any moment.

It's hard to beat the Melvins and they are still on tour playing there first album live start to finish with live footage from some of there early shows. A must see for any fan. Anybody listen to Big Business who are a sweet duo (drum and bass) who sometimes play on stage with the Melvins?

I thought those two were full-time members of Melvins now?

My favorite, for sure. I was living in Kent, just south of Seattle in those days. In 1992 I saw Soundgarden at the Paramount in Seattle (The Melvins opened). Great show.

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream is the best album from that era imo. If they had added "Rhinocerous" from the Gish album it would be in my top 3 of all time.

Nirvana's Smells like Teen spirit is the next best album from that era

Both albums were amazing start to finish

Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger was great too but had a few weak songs that drop it from the list.

Now, if you want to narrow it down to one song, EVEN FLOW by Pearl Jam is when i knew the whole grunge scene was going to be massive. That song was so different than anything in the mainstream and after having gone though the smells like teen spirit thing, EVEN FLOW made you realize you were going to be a part of a movement that was just starting.

I was at the CNE in Toronto and one of the carny's operating one of the rides just left EVEN FLOW on repeat and blasted it all day long. The next day i went to the mall and bought TEN and Badmotorfinger. :->

    Good times.

Man, Gish is the only decent album that overblown pompous excuse for a musician Billy ever did. And if your going for pure well rounded rock album Nevermind is it.(teen spirit was only a song)
