Went to see Spamalot on Broadway on Tuesday. (I highly recommend going!) An interesting thing happened right before the final scene. A large castle was supposed to rotate during a scene change and it froze halfway around. (Prompting the line from Sir Bedevere ,"What sort of evil wizardry is afoot?"😉

The stage manager actually waved his hands from off stage signaling the actors to exit, came on the stage and announced there had been technical difficulties and closed the curtain for about 15 min.

Has anyone experienced a similar occurrence at a professional performance? I conduct the pit orchestra for high school productions, so I've seen many technical glitches, but I was disappointed to see this on Broadway.
