He's a Mexican stereotype of undetermined aged with a short, dark wife who wears the traditional costume of the village of her ancestors. Ha! Ha!

While yes a poser, VanWinkle (his real name) DID grow up for a time in the 'hood'. He did steal his most well known beat (from ice ice baby) from "Under Pressure" the collaboration between Freddie Mercury and David Bowie. A far more awesome song, I must say.

I suspect that most of the really famous rappers (especially the ones from the past decade) are no more "legit" than Vanilla Ice.
