One of the best things Richard Thompson has done. The guy is a genius. Just look at him, as a teeneager, on youtube 'Time it will show the wiser' by Fairport Convention.

Agreed - the story behind Black Vincent would make a good film.

There is a girl band, folkie to bluegrass style, based on the character, Red Molly. They say it's actually from Red Dirt Girl, the Emmy Lou Harris CD but I like the Vincent connection better🙂 That's the name of the band, they are darn good too! Google them, look for a you tube video. They are also one of my friends on myspace.

Fantastic song. One of my favorite songs.

Good story telling. Nice melody. Nice guitar. Soulfully sung. Throw in a vintage motor cycle. What more could you want.
