    The Dali thread inspired me to check out the tastes of a bunch of chess players. While I like some of Dali's work, my favorites are:
    1. Munch
    2. Cezanne
    3. Bosch

    Rembrandt, of course. Alessandro Filipepi. Escher. Sanzio. Good heavens, there are so many good artists to choose from...

    Waterhouse, Millais, Rossetti, Rubens, Klimt, Leighton...and an endless of others in other styles, but my favourites are Pre-Raphaelites

    Jacques-Louis David. His painting "The Sabine Women" is awesome and beautiful. Took my breath away.
