I'm an American and I am not offended in the least. It is entirely true that I have seen several other Americans make this claim in this and other forums. I am taking common defense to mean that multiple people, not neccesarily all Americans, use it. I have heard it several times, so it is true. He isn't involving Bush in this at all, he is just talking about retarded associations others have made before. He has not demeaned America, just some of our less historically knowledgable citizens who keep claiming that we basically won WWII by ourselves.
