Why do White Christians Vote Republican, and Black Christians Vote Democrat?

This also explains how Southern Democrats became Republicans and Lincoln's Republican Party became today's Democrats.

Of course, I don't expect the ones who need this lesson the most to actually sit through it all. But maybe, just maybe, enough will sink in so we stop hearing nonsense about how Democrats are the 'real' racists.

Without being glib, Suzianne, do you think it may be that 'free stuf' could be the reason? Free stuff suggests no need to make your own stuff. Thus, the need to depend on the stuff that comes to one freely. So no work, no self reliance.
Now, lesson two is that there are people who are independent and do not want free stuff, they seek freedom and independence.
So, that closes your lesson.
We will leave it to you to decide which groups? Smash and grab group, or people like me who live responsibly, instead of what you seem to be supporting?
I'm thinking you like the reparations idea. My my, I could ramble on.

The inconvenient truth for you, Joe, is that deficit spending has gone up under every republican president for 40 years, and has gone down under every democrat.

So if they're voting for Dems for the free stuff, they're not very well informed.

I got it, the Democrat party which had a 150 year history of being totally evil were really Republicans, and the good Republicans became the modern Dem party.
The convoluted thinking of you perps amazes me.

How do you explain how the Dems used to represent the South and the Repubs the North but now it’s the opposite? You think everyone just moved?

Dems were the more conservative party back then. Over time the far right switched to the Republican party while leftists became Democrats.

I would take the day off and research this, but are we not talking about right now? The state of the economy right now? It’s tremendous printing of money, runaway inflation, all of it? And you want to write about past presidents, Jesus.
Let’s say you speak the truth. Yay. Now,
Let me link the way that a lot of people, besides you and maybe Sonhouse , see what your weak commander is up to:
https://mcmorris.house.gov/posts/bidens-inflation-crisis

I just pulled this up, one of many , I didn't even read it, dont have to . If you disagree with it, I can find about 20 more for you to pick from. Do you think there is one you can find about how great Biden's expenditure record is!!!?!?!?? hahaha

Everyone WIldgrass says here that the (losers? Dependents?, whomever, the parasites?..) do NOT vote for free stuff. Free Stuff, is, of course, synonymous with Democrats.
Wildgrass needs to start a podcast.

Free stuff is your trope, not mine.

Perhaps you should watch the video, instead of leaping to your standard fairy tale conclusions.

It would be refreshing if you knew what you were talking about, but you never do.

Hint: Economies rise and fall depending more on what corporations do than what the president does. Currently, corporations are thinking they're not making nearly enough profits. Thus, not so magically, higher prices.

Nothing at all to do with the video I posted. Maybe you should watch it.

Entrepreneurs get lots of free stuff in the way of tax break plus they get free stuff via the infrastructure everyone pays taxes to support. Plenty of people work well over 40 hours a week and still struggle to keep their families sheltered, clothed and fed. But there is no point arguing with you as you just refuse or are unable to comprehend economics. Very sad.

The thread is about history and you think we're talking about right now?

With all due respects, what in the worldisyourr issue here? I myself am the least interested in this old history. Today, the dems are spending and we are conserving! Is that the reverse of what used to be case?!? NowTHAT would be the issue!

Why do you y’all bring up the usual story of folks having difficulty making ends meet. There is no denying that, but you just leave it hanging and don’t tell us what an answer would be, when relating them to the corporations they work for. What should happen? Some of you have said the corporation should just give a piece of the company to the employees. You could start with that. And see how that goes.t
Yes you both nailed me, I did not see the video as I am on my cell phone, and probably got a little off track. My apologies.
