How about this definition: Where ALL votes are counted and NOBODY is denied the right to vote as opposed to the laws passed in repub states restricting polling places which is just another means of stopping votes.

I say minority votes should NEVER win an election, ESPECIALLY when repub states AS WE SPEAK are writing laws to dump duly appointed electoral college workers and install their own LEGALLY so they can say, if Trump is running, TRUMP WINS AGAIN! And thus the end of free and fair elections in the US and repubs rule forever.

Secondly, I agree with you, that minority votes should never win an election. In this case, the votes are from a college of electors appointed by state government, and in the end, the candidate with the majority, NOT the minority of votes, wins.
It was a brilliant compromise between electing a president based on a congressional vote, and electing a president based on a popular vote. You can google the reasoning behind it, which makes perfect sense to some REAL smart educators and students of USA politics. I am sorry you don't agree with them.
