@no1marauder saidYour 2nd paragraph is sort of….what? Suggesting Trump just ‘don’t act right!’? Whatever. Neither does Schumer. Geez.
The American People own the cabinet room; Trump is temporarily in charge of it.
If he wants to make a mockery of his cabinet meetings, so be it but the Constitutional role of the Cabinet is to advise him not participate in political stunts. How much "advising" did you see them doing in that farce?
But , ahhh, you make my point about the cabinet room/court room comparison.
The government physically, tangibly, owns them BOTH. We agree on that.
So, the judge owns, and Trump owns, respectfully, each of their environs. You know that quite clearly, and you know I am right, but you just cannot ever bend 1 inch, but rather segue off. I can’t wait to see what the segue will be this time.

@You are aware, I am sure, that your saying that it is a mockery is like you’re saying that Kamala would’ve made a great president. It is your opinion, your subjective opinion. It is not a fact, yet you write it like it is a fact. It is stuff like this that confuses Suzanne et al

If I may say, his use of the cabinet room yesterday was to tell everybody to get ready for what his tariff strategy is all about. I would not call that a mockery. Sunhouse is the one that has gotten so hot about how bad tariffs are, I can’t wait to see his response, and he will have one when the tariffs prove to be
the greatest tactical move of any president.
It is unfortunate that you fellows that don’t like Trump are thus not listening to him, you would be hearing a lot of history. You are missing it big time.
@AverageJoe1 saidYeah, history like was made by the Smoot-Hawley tariffs.

@no1marauder said2025 man. And, oh yeah..,Trump.
Yeah, history like was made by the Smoot-Hawley tariffs.
Those are key factors. Why don’t you tell us what the constitution says about all this. Meanwhile, while Trump kicks ass. While you were reading about Smoot, Biden was sitting on his ass while the Hootie’s were ruining shipping trade, etc. Biden did nothing. Trump comes along and says I’m gonna take care of that and I’m gonna bomb the ShavShav out of Yemen.
Would you rather Trump did nothing. Would you rather Trump bomb Yemen. ? How say you?

@AverageJoe1 saidThe Houthis have been bombed by Saudi Arabia with US bombs for about 10 years. Unsurprisingly, that has not made them less inclined to mess with their enemies' shipping.

I would prefer the US get out of the business of taking sides in these endless Middle Eastern conflicts.
And Biden did the same stupid s##t as Trump last year.https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/11/politics/read-biden-statement-airstrikes-houthis-yemen/index.html
@no1marauder saidAgree, it will never be over if it ever gets over. (I think I said that right).

Yeah, Trump has to, and he will, devise a 'permanent solution' if you will, about the Houthis. They have never dealt with Trump. Assuming he starts it, rest assured he will see it to the end. Just like Biden or Kamala would have done on some weekday. (they didn't work weekends)
@AverageJoe1 saidStop with the BS. Trump has never finished anything; the Houthis survived his first term and will survive this one as well.

Your pathetic worship of him doesn't change that fact.
@no1marauder saidOh, does Trump own his cabinet room or not?!?!?

Answer a question, make your comrades proud…..but you have to acknowledge you were wrong on that one.
@AverageJoe1 saidWhy do you keep asking questions I've already answered? I told you who owns the Cabinet room and it isn't Donald Trump.

@no1marauder saidAnswer this. Does a judge own his courtroom? You and I know we are not talking about the physical structure ….the real property including fixtures.

He is King if I may say. Owns his venue.
Don is Likewise King. Owns his venue.
You are getting very much like King David. I had to get rid of him on another thread by saying he won the argument. It was that bad..
Get interesting. Tell us that the tariff gambits, several of them, will not work. I can’t wait to hear it. He is going to kill it and you know it and you sit there like all Democrats with no plans. He will run circles around your not-policies.
@AverageJoe1 saidFind a dictionary and look up the word "own" and stop wasting my time. Judges don't "own" their courtrooms either.

Trump's tariffs are about the stupidest idea he's came up with besides getting rid of 7 million productive workers. Luckily, he'll probably wind up caving on both.
@AverageJoe1 saidWhat an idiot.

@no1marauder saidI got granny to pull something up for both of us. Here it is, for both of us. To have control over. Whew.

To have control over: For a time, enemy planes owned the skies.
You know, this very day, you and Suzianne are both wrestling with definitions. She says the money we pay in to the govt on our respective tax days is income. Income. Geez.
@AverageJoe1 saidStop the nonsense; I was referring to legal ownership not colloquial uses. I have control over my bar stool for a limited time, but it would be absurd to claim I "own" it.

@no1marauder said3 clicks back I made it clear that the govt owns the physical courtroom, the real property, and its fixtures, which are part of the real property. No argument.

Your segue then is going to be an end-around, but I am too quick for you,,,,,I even predicted that you would do it. And, here you are.
Delta has legal ownership of the airplane. While it is in the sky, the pilot owns it. Why play stupid, it is not becoming.
Colloquial?? So a debate judge will say 'Stop it right there! No colloquial language in the debate!!" Man, that sure would shorten a lot of our posts!
