We learned something very disquieting about Trump: his news sources are dubious and he does not trouble himself to find out facts; he is childishly gullible.

Yup, that's actually what Trump said -- somebody said it on tv, he read it somewhere, so Trump believes it. Is it any wonder that he thinks that if he just keeps repeating his false narratve about the 2020 election, somebody is going to believe it?

He gets facts wrong, or puts a wholly bizarre interpretation on them, he takes in fake news unfiltered and remembers only fragments (somebody said it, read it somewhere). Trump is a mental midget with a very tenuous grip on reality.

What seems loudest to me after the debate is the amazing SILENCE of the cons here, like they are deathly afraid someone will say something like, "Is there any question now that Don the Con is demented?"
They'll continue to prop him up until the election, though, kind of like an extended "Weekend at Bernie's".
The best zinger I heard last night was Harris saying, "Talk about extreme" right after the diatribe on immigrants eating pets.

My guess is Harris will get MAYBE 2 percent bump up as a result of this debate, when it SHOULD be 40% but that's my half ass prediction.

The take away moment for me was when he claimed that crime rates are rising (implying it's Biden's fault--but what has that to do with Harris??); he gets called out for it by the moderator, citing FBI statistics that violent crime rates have been falling; Trump doubles down that the FBI is a fraud without citing any counter source for his claims. Trump is so obviously making this up as he goes along, inventing 'alternative facts' to trigger his voter base's darkest fears; this is just plain schoolboy dopey.

The public still has NO idea how she is going to lower costs and do all the other things she promises. We know nothing about what she will do.

Harris didn't, although she made one claim which needed some context to be interpreted correctly.
