IRAQ: No weapons of mass destruction... No threat to American security... NO link to the 9/11 attacks... 4000+ brave American soldiers die...for a lie!

And the GOP scratches there collective heads and wonders why they can't win back the Whitehouse??!! Maybe they really are THAT dumb!

Democrats supported the war too and for exactly the same reasons as Republicans.

The reason given for the invasion was because Saddam did not allow free inspections and it appeared that he was hiding something.

Hiding something the US government has a lot of maybe. The US may have believed he had such weapons as the US had supplied Iraq with them earlier and thought he wouldn't have gotten rid of them. The reason is more likely that the energy corporations are running that show and wanted to create a temporary problem with production. Terrorism sure as heck fire wasn't the issue.

I'm sure the real reason had to do with oil. I was simply stating the reason given.

Oh, now I see it. Missed this thread in the forum field.

Yeah, Bush/Republicans suck.

So do Obama and the Democrats.

We need to throw them all out and start fresh.

The world never hated us more than when Bush and Republicans were in office.

That should tell you something.

How would that happen? As for the House, for example, are you suggesting that the consituents in each district vote out their incumbement US representative and re-elect a new "fresh" representative under the existing two-party system? Or are you suggesting that one of the two parties be replaced with be a new fringe radical party more to your liking? Your comment seems naive.

Their, they're, there. They are distinct words with distinct syntax. You used the wrong one.

Sasquatch, you're beginning to remind me of Duchess64 with your writing critiques.

It is naive, considering that in a typical cycle perhaps a tenth of House seats are usually in play. Gerrymandering by both parties sees that the majority of seats are "safe".

In 2006 and 2010 midterms, the people fooled the experts, when in 2006 a great many conservative Democrats won House seats from Republicans, and in 2010 when the Tea party snatched a great many seats from both vulnerable Democrats and from incumbent Republicans.

"The world never hated us more........"

That is an unverifiable assertion, since there is no known entity known as "the world" that we can ask.
