From Kmax earlier: "Just a thought AVJ1, is it time the Statue of Liberty and the plaque that welcomes the huddled masses are taken down because of false advertising? Never mind the country became strong because of the diversity that sign attracted. Or is it still just a white boy invitation in the minds of many....""
The confused KMax wrote the above on another thread. I fear that all of you libs misunderstand the plaque, bless your hearts.
This link will clearly explain what the pitiful Kmax is confused about.

In a nutshell, as none of you will read it, (because I best you all everytime), it is all about enslaved people. There are broken chains, etc, at her feet. They represent the freedom of enslaved people. Yeah, I hate it for you. Kmax blows it again, as to the purpose of the sign. He thinks it is about immigrants.
He is right that a lot of diverse people came and made the country great, but he should do a separate thread on that.
Y'all can thank AvJoe for nipping this ridiculous post in the bud, so that we can otherwise write about getting other peoples' stuff!!
@averagejoe1 saidThe article you reference was written to correct Sarah Palin, who mistakenly thought it was a warning against making mistakes of other countries.

Liberty. Joe. That's what the statue represents. Abolishing slavery is just an example, a symbol of liberty. Escaping authoritarian regimes is another example of liberty.
@wildgrass saidwhere does it say to walk on in and get on the govt payroll?

@wildgrass saidWhat he means is that the plaque does not go further, speaking to people who were escaping slavery, to say that support is guaranteed or will be provided by the government.
Huh?
You messin' with us, Wildgrass? Surely you know what he meant. Anyway, there would have been no room on the plaque to say "$500/nite hotel rooms awaiting you on Park Avenue". Plus, it is not likely the taxpayers would have approved spending tax money on that.
@wildgrass saidCorrect on all counts.

How fukking deluded are you?
@averagejoe1 saidAll these points are not related to kmax's comment, which was the purpose of this thread. So if that's what he meant, then it was intended to distract.
What he means is that the plaque does not go further, speaking to people who were escaping slavery, to say that support is guaranteed or will be provided by the government.

@averagejoe1 saidit's adorable how you vomit a pile of barely coherent thoughts about a topic then declare victory in the argument.

@shavixmir
Not only is Avejoe deluded, he is hyper arrogant, he thinks because he has tenants under his thumb in his apartments he is some kind of mafia boss where his word BETTER be taken or else.
