With so many groups fighting against each other in the middle east (almost too many to count) maybe the United States should pull all of it's armed forces out of the middle east and let Russia waste it's resources trying to referee this mess. They'll always be at least half a dozen groups willing to blow each other up in the name of....something. I predict after 10 years of being a very large target there, mother Russia won't want anything to do with the middle east either.

I think US should clean their own mess up. Remember that USA promised to bring democracy to Iraq, failing big time, leaving a country in chaos.

Russia doesn't care to 'referee' anything.

They support governments that can serve their (Russia's) interests and the rest can pretty much just rot in their own waste.

Not too different from Trump's Amerika.

Yes, the US promised democracy to Iraq and all Iraq got was another failed experiment in libertarianism.

And further - USA saved Kuwait from Saddam and his Iraqi forces. Because USA is always on side of any democracy.
Kuwait is still not a democracy. Wasn't then, wasn't now.
It's all about the oil.

Exactly. Any state can just go and get the oil they need, right?
Sweden need oil, and we know there is oil in Texas, so we go and get it, right?
US do it, so can we, right?

Wrong.

This is about morality. States just cannot go and get things from others just because they need it.

Fortunately oil will be relagated to the dust bin of history now that clean green energy is coming through. One less morality war to be fought.

The sun is fair. Gives its energy in abundance.
It's very popular in Sweden right now.

The trillion dollar military budget has to be maintained. Peace and resolution with those countries is not desirable if you want to keep military funding up
