@shavixmir
-34°C have been reported. Even Finns might reach for a Shirt at those temperatures.
So in Siberia colder temperatures are reached regularly in winter
@shavixmir saidYou're thinking wimpy Celsius degrees.
Or a cold spell?
Seriously? -17 degrees is nothing but a bit of cold.
Polar vortex my arse.
The -17 (and worse) in the midwest major cities like Chicago are in manly Fahrenheit degrees.
@shavixmir saidOh, and by the way, Polar Vortex just the slick name some suit at weather.com or something thought up to describe a low pressure system that comes southward into the middle region of North America from the Arctic during the winter. It's a normal phenomenon that happens at least once in most years, though some are obviously worse than others.
Or a cold spell?

@sh76 saidLiterally manly. 100 degrees was supposed to be the body temperature of a healthy young man. 0 was the freezing temp of salt water.

@athousandyoung saidJesus Christ.

I hope you're joking.
100 degrees is the boiling point of water. And 0 degrees is the freeing point of water.
The expansion is what's far more interesting.
@shavixmir saidDamn it man!
Or a cold spell?

Don't you know what this means!
It's CLIMATE CHANGE!!!!
Or as AOC and her Left nut groupies likes to say, we will all be dead within 12 years if we don't raise taxes to fight it.
Well, what will it be? Taxes or death? You can't escape either, so..........
@shavixmir saidFirst of all, ATY is not Jesus Christ. Worship him if you must, but I'm just say'in.
Jesus Christ.

Secondly, 0 degrees is the Freezing point of water and not the freeing point of water.
The freeing point of water has yet to be determined.
@sh76 saidI just love the sound of POLAR VORTEX. The folks at the weather channel are genius'

It's like we are going to be sucked into some sort of unworldly other dimension.
Scars the hell out of me.

@shavixmir saidNo, no, man. He's talking Fahrenheit, used mainly in the US.

100C is 212F
0C is 32F
The scales agree at -40.
