I'm a little naive there. Gas prices used to be a lot higher than they are now, for most of the Obummer presidency.

What do you know about inflation? How does it happen? Can a president control it? Isn't it a lagging indicator?

My read on this is that price increases are stemming from Trump-era tariffs and increased global shipping costs.
