If King Charles used his power today to dissolve parliament there would certainly be consequences for doing so and would probably lead to the collapse of the monarchy. It would go against all modern conventions and would be out of step with modern Britain. For these reasons it is hard to imagine a monarch ever exercising that power......Nevertheless, it is a power they still hold, a 'real' power.

The other power they hold of dismissing a prime Minister who lost the confidence of the House of Commons has an even stronger case for being called a 'real' power as it is a power that could conceivably be used, if such a situation transpired and the Prime Minister refused to step down.

Trying to educate you about anything is an act of futility.

You initially claimed the House of Lords were able to reject laws passed by the House of Commons. Even my hamster knew you were incorrect.

Own that mistake and move on.

Now you just need to own your mistakes about socialism, "nanny states", not knowing fuel payment cuts to the elderly were means-tested, incorrectly claiming you're not conservative, not understanding what "evidence" means.....

Damn, owning your mistakes will take a while.
