Tell that to the business owners in downtown Portland. Tell it to the taxpayers and the injured cops. Like I said, you don't care about any of that.

Typical right winger equating loss of profits with people getting hurt.

NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO DENY DUE PROCESS....Personally, I think that THE GOVERNOR of OREGON, should do as HUEY P. LONG did back in the 30's in Louisiana, and arrest all of THE FEDERAL PROVOCATEURS in the great city of PORTLAND.

Did the guys beating up on this Navy veteran for standing there have any insignia on? https://www.kgw.com/article/news/local/protests/federal-officers-hit-navy-veteran-with-baton-pepper-spray-and-tear-gassed-a-county-commissioner/283-54f9c138-40ec-410c-8077-7a17f686a6f6
You have just cause to complain of this incident, of course, but recently I posted
that 5 people were shot inside CHOP, 2 killed and police could not get in.

Nary a word! And people in here further refer to those antifa and BLM-ers as
"peaceful protesters". So your bias is duly noted.

Typical left winger calling the 5 people shot, 2 killed, in CHOP "nothing to see here, foks"

[whistles]

The only time a killed person actually means a damn thing to the left is when
they can use it for a rallying cry in their revolicion.

Excellent point, Jim!!!

And nobody has the constitutional right to shoot, loot, and kill, either. Those
victims of same have constitutional rights, too, like the f'n right to live.

You're not seriously comparing what is going on in Portland now to the 1992 LA riots?:

"By the time the riots ended, 63 people had been killed,[6] 2,383 had been injured, more than 12,000 had been arrested, and estimates of property damage were over $1 billion"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1992_Los_Angeles_riots

Because that would be such ridiculous hyperbole an ...[text shortened]... y King Donald in the hope it will help his dwindling re-election chances. You know it and I know it.
Are you going to use the same "nothing to see here" argument against Trump sending feds to Chicago? 63 people getting shot there is just a Saturday night.

Look at that photo!

Policemen?
Federal agents?
Stormtroopers?

Sure looks like an escalation problem to me.
Oh, and to the mayor.

Interestign article.

From the article:

Speaking to CNN on Sunday, Mayor Wheeler said there were "dozens if not hundreds of federal troops" in the city, adding: "Their presence here is actually leading to more violence and more vandalism.

It doesn't make sense to blame anyone except the people who are initiating violence and vandalizing things.

You do not have the right to riot more when it turns out that security forces are coming to end your rioting and lawless behavior.

The Mayor of a city also doesn't get to just sign off on private citizens destroying your property because they agree with the political cause.

@Philokalia

The dims have to show some love for the military wing of their party, don't ya know!

It's been known by researchers for decades that if police and law enforcement respond to protests with enhanced force, it inevitably causes more violence and unrest:

"Researchers have spent 50 years studying the way crowds of protesters and crowds of police behave—and what happens when the two interact. One thing they will tell you is that when the police respond by escalating force—wearing riot gear from the start, or using tear gas on protesters—it doesn’t work. In fact, disproportionate police force is one of the things that can make a peaceful protest not so peaceful. But if we know that (and have known that for decades), why are police still doing it?"

Your one-sided morality play doesn't make a lot of sense when we have film of federal agents beating people with batons and pepper spraying navy veterans in the face.

The mayor is right; the federal response is worsening the situation as it is probably intended to for political reasons.

Interesting read, The Hill.

ACLU files lawsuit over federal agents in Portland

Joe Biden should pledge to prosecute, as President, all the federal stormtroopers who are violating their oath to the Constitution by being party to extrajudicial kidnappings, illegal teargassing of protesters, excessive brutality, and wanton denial of due process.
