That wasn't possible in those mesoAmerican countries on the mainland which were connected by land to the huge empires of the Inca and Mexica (though Argentina somehow managed to develop a mostly white population).

It’s too late for nato to clear up the mess it made in Afghanistan so we need to accept our role as the fan but all the US has to do in Cuba is absolutely nothing except stop the sanctions.

As I’ve pointed out, a good amount of Afghans who came to Europe were secular and well educated (doctors, lawyers… although I admit to thinking lawyers are more parasitical than educates, teachers, etc. ) .

So you are POTUS, how many troops would you send to eliminate Taliban?
We only had a few thousand troops there, not like Vietnam.
And comparing Afghan to Viet Nam doesn't work, for instance, 50 THOUSAND lost their lives in Nam while under 3000 died in Afghanastan in 20 years, like a death every other day or so.
Of course ANY death in military is bad but Afghan Americans dead there less then 10% of Nam.
Also I see our military KNOWS we left Apachie helicopters and such behind and they are now in the process of launching air strikes to destroy as many of them as they can before we get out completely.

I HOPE they move some into my neighborhood. It would balance out all the white house-flippers coming in here buying up all the houses at low prices that the banks have screwed from the minority families living in them.

The US removed the Taliban from power, but never actually came anywhere to crushing them. They’ve been active since 2005 or something.
Any leader the US managed to kill was in Pakistan.
As a communist and an atheist, what on Earth makes you think I’d fight for a moslim cause?
Just because I disagree with the US invasion of Afghanistan, doesn’t mean I have any feelings of sympathy towards religious extremists.
