When our dear Imam [Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder the Iranian revolution] said that the regime must be removed, many of those who claimed to be politically well-informed said it was not possible.

It shows consistency with the claim of OP link.
The regime Ahmadinejad was referring to when he said "When [Khomeini] said that the regime must be removed, many of those who claimed to be politically well-informed said it was not possible" is of course the regime of the Shah of Iran. So I am curious as to what point you are trying to make.

Oh, and by the way, the article you cited uses the very phrase "wiped off the map" that you have so often taken issue with on this forum.
Metal Brain is sussed and cramped, twice on the trot, as people who were in their mid-teens in late 70s south east Britain used to say [and I still do, on occasions like this].

Ahmadinejad: "Our dear Imam said that the occupying regime must be wiped off the map and this was a very wise statement. We cannot compromise over the issue of Palestine."

Originally posted by sh76 So what was he referring to? The specific politicians who happen to be in power now? Please. He was referring to the State of Israel.
Maybe Israel's version of the Kosher Nostra.
I think it would be a very good idea for Sephardim, Baghdadis, Persian Jews and other non-Ashkenazi Jews to assert themselves in Israel. Unfortunately there aren't that many of them relative to the Ashkenazim...
