Many Americans argue that the reason for invading Iraq was to save people from Saddam. Over 20,000 people are now dead there.
What if the billions of dollars spent on the invasion and ongoing occupation had been directed against against the AIDS epidemic instead - imagine if all that money was spent on subsidising the cost of medicine, education and contrac ...[text shortened]... sustaining its oil habit a bit longer.

It's estimated that up to 100,000 people have died in Iraq - 20,000 is the very low end.
Also, what about the milions of people who died during the trade sanctions imposed on Iraq ?
What about all the terrorists America has bred by killing their loved ones and friends ?
