Watched Morgan Spurlock on TV last night- the guy who wrote 'Supersize Me'. This time, instaed of eating junk food for 30 days, he and his wife attempted to live on the minimum wage for 30 days. They chose Columbus, Ohio as the place to do it.
What I want to know is - how typical are situations like this? I mean, I lived with Americans a few years ago ...[text shortened]... round the world if the stories from one's own media are true. Please see it that way.)
I live in America, And I never seen anyone work for minimum wage, The closest I seen is at the Local Ski lodge, they Pay $7 an hour for ski patrols, but the people who work their isn't doing it for the money. I think the government should eliminate minimum wage, and unemployment checks, There are plenty of opportunitys, one just has to get off their but to find them, My sister, 19 years old started a health care business with only a high school diploma, and 0$ dollars, now 2 years later is making 50,000 a year, and hardly doing a thing. I got a 17 year old friend making 70,000 a year in construction, There is a big need for truck drivers, one can make 40,000 a year with no experience to start with, and the company will train you. With 40,000 dollars and 1 year of training, you can get a guaranteed job as a helicopter pilot making 50,000 dollars on your first year out of school, There are so many opportunity's, it just takes motivation which is what Americans lack. Why the government pays people not to work is beyond me
