    Joey Votto. A pure hitter.

I thought you might support him. It seems like he's in the upper tier of candidates. Who knows?

    Any VP considerations?

Uther and whodey--you never know. Currently Ron Paul is leading the nomination process on AE, so he might even have more evidence in his favor to run as a third party candidate. (...and of course, in so doing, split the Republican Party vote, unless his Democratic VP pick somehow won over waves of Obama supporters.)

Ron Paul is up to more than 6600 votes total, and more than 3300 toward his 10,000 vote threshold.

Anyone think he would stick around if drafted as a third-party candidate?
