1. Waltz was there to help with his name recognition. He contributed little, which was fine.
2. Harris's values have not changed. She has moved more towards the center on specifics for various issues to appeal to the majority. Democracy is about compromise.
3. The Biden/Harris administration put forth an immigration bill which had bipartisan support. Trump demanded that Republicans in Congress withdraw support because he wants to use immigration to help him get elected. He ONLY cares about getting elected. There's a good chance he will land in prison if he remains out of the White House.
Just look at all the noteworthy Republicans who stood up at the DNC to support Harris, in spite of disagreeing with her agenda. They know that Trump poses an existential threat to our democracy. Harris does not.
