Wow 60 days....obviously the court knew it wasn't a serious statement.
Even if true, how does that amount to overthrowing the government?
I invoke Brandolini’s Law

Once they broke inside vandalizing government property in the process (Trump recommended 10 years in prison for similar crimes) they planned to murder Pence, Pelosi and anyone else they didn't approve of and force the Electoral College to vote for Trump under threat of execution.

That's how.
Bump for JJ

Surely it's painfully obvious that the January 6 lot were just a Trump rent-a-mob who weren't smart enough to understand that a traitor was pulling their puppet strings.

A few fines and jail for anyone using violence would have been appropriate for them. The American legal system is so weird that it throws the book at them and allows the puppetmaster not to even get a charge of electoral interference brought against him, let alone a trial for sedition or treason.

Jan. 6 rioter who said she wanted to shoot Nancy Pelosi sentenced to 60 days behind bars

“We broke into the Capitol, we got inside, we did our part," Dawn Bancroft said in a selfie video she took after leaving the Capitol on January 6. "We were looking for Nancy to shoot her in the frickin' brain, but we didn't find her."
Thanks, thousand. i have been trying to find out what Dawn Bancrft said. Who is she, by the way. A guy who works in our mailroom, DeQonquis Washington. says we should go back in 1 more time.
We need to compile all of these statements. I sais something too, but no one seemed to care, Dayum.

Nor was there an insurrection.

I'm surprised they haven't made a TV movie yet showing a bunch of swastika clad insurrectionists planning a putsch.

You obviously haven't followed the legal proceedings closely. For the record, Trump is charged in Federal Court with four different felonies, one of which is Conspiracy to Obstruct an Official Proceeding i.e. the Electoral College certification and another is Obstruction and Attempt to Obstruct an Official Proceeding. https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2023/08/politics/annotated-text-copy-trump-indictment-dg/

Each count carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1512

Zzzzzzzzzz
We all know that, this is not like you. Strange.
But all I have pointed out, which none of you will answer, is the fact that there to anyone’s knowledge has never been an insurrection. Not a founding or a charge of insurrection. I think that you libs have typed the word insurrection on this forum since January 6 about 2000 times . That means we have wasted 2000 reads, where I could’ve been outside playing golf. Wasted posts. Think about it, no one will ever remember your posts.

Insurrection - an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/insurrection

That seems to cover a violent mob breaking into the US Capitol with the intent of stopping the Constitutional process of certifying the Electoral College vote doesn't it?

I don’t think it does. Everyone else, everyone of import, had to have come to that conclusion. And. they studied the facts, applying your Webster…. More than we have.
So, the def does not apply.
Only chance for your position is that they are waiting till the last minute to file it, to really screw up Trump being on a ballot. That would probably be the first act of the turning point to literally witness the demise of our country.

You don't think at all you just believe whatever right wing media tells you.

Unless you dispute the accuracy of the definition, the actions of the mob on January 6th clearly fit it.
