Fauci quote:
“When you don’t have the data and you don’t have the actual evidence, you’ve got to make a judgment call”

Actually he gave the answer before, but doesn't want to admit it now. He once admitted there is no evidence the mRNA vaccines give people immunity from the virus. That means there is no evidence the mRNA vaccines will help us reach herd immunity until the vaccinated get the SARS2 virus.
Fauci is trying to maintain the myth of vaccine immunity. If he was honest people would be asking him if the mRNA vaccines are vaccines at all. After all, if there is no evidence of immunity from them why would they be considered a vaccine?
Then Fauci would have to admit the criteria for a vaccine was never met with the pfizer and moderna gene therapy biotech treatments.
It isn't that he doesn't have an answer to the question. He just doesn't want to answer it because it will open up a can of worms.

Bit of a stretch, isn't it dude?
If they get on the market with an announced efficacy rate of 96%, I assume that means they have been TESTED
@earl-of-trumps saidThat 96% prevents a person from getting sick when they get the virus, there is no evidence it prevents a person from getting the virus. In other words, it might merely turn people into asymptomatic carriers of the virus. That does not stop vaccinated people from spreading the virus if that is the case.

"The number you got, 95 percent, is known as the efficacy rate. This tells you that, under the same conditions
as the study, the vaccine reduces the risk of infection by 95 percent.
Do you honestly believe that any number of vaccines are developed and nobody checks to see if they work?
🙄 🙄 🙄
@medullah saidMedullah, see BOINK
According to Matt Hancock the UK Health Minister, the vaccines do NOT
1) Prevent transmission
2) Prevent contraction
3) Might relieve symptoms (paracetamol isn't known for making anyone blind or deaf and seems a lot safer option).

No, I am not wrong on the issue I raise the most with you. This is from your link:
Asked in a Dateline interview whether Pfizer's shot prevents transmission, CEO Albert Bourla said the firm is 'not certain about that'
Its shot was 95% effective at preventing COVID-19 in trials but the firm did not test whether participants spread the virus
OK, so what it is addressing is, they don't know if infected people who get the vax, go on to transmit the virus.
That's a LONG long way from saying "they don't know if it works"
Please!!
@earl-of-trumps saidDefine "works". I don't recall claiming it doesn't work. It depends on what you mean by work. If you mean preventing the vaccinated people from getting the virus then there is no evidence it works. If you mean preventing people from getting sick if they get infected from the virus then it works mostly.
Here is your first statement that started out our set to.

Traditional vaccines prevent you from getting infected with the virus. The mRNA vaccines prevent you from getting sick and dying, not prevent you from getting the virus.
Read the article from the link I posted. They didn't test for virus transmission. Also, remember covid19 is NOT a virus. Covid19 is the sickness caused by the virus. SARS2 is the virus. When an article says 95% against covid19 that does not mean the SARS2 virus.
Some people get infected with the SARS2 virus and never get covid19. They are called asymptomatic carriers of the virus. Now do you understand?
From the link below:
"Not so fast, suggested Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious-disease expert, on Monday. He said the vaccines that are currently being developed are designed to prevent symptoms, not kill the virus."

@metal-brain saidMB, I am NOT going down a rabbit hole with you. Don't go back on what you posted earlier, that is what got me to respond.

totally misleading. totally.

I completely understand this.

I always did.

@earl-of-trumps saidWork for what? This is the second time I have asked you that.

If it is achieving herd immunity via a vaccine the answer is a clear NO! That is why it is technically not a vaccine at all. It does not meet the true definition of the word. They just wanted it classified as a vaccine so they would be immune from lawsuits.
If the vaccinated still get the SARS2 virus and spread it the unvaccinated people will still be at risk of getting sick and possibly dying. Aside from the smart people who decline the vaccine by choice you have some people that cannot take the vaccine at all. That includes pregnant women, children under 16 and people with serious allergies.
If your goal is to keep people from dying from C19 I suppose it works, but what about those that get sick and maybe die from the vaccine? Health care workers notice that people are being hospitalized after getting the vaccine. That is why many of them are refusing to take the vaccine themselves. Look it up.
@Metal-Brain
So you figure we should stop all this vax nonsense and let nature take its course and let a million in the US die.
@Metal-Brain - Work for what? This is the second time I have asked you that.
Do the various vaccines make people immune from COVID19?
The answer is YES.
Now it is news to me that the vaxes do not kill the virus, they merely prevent the virus from ruining one's health.
This is not a problem, we carry many viruses in our body with no ill effect anyway.
So that is the long and short of it, MB, the vaccine prevents us from getting COVID19. Good by me!
