@moonbus said - It may come to a single-issue election in 2024 and it may take a second sound defeat for the GOP
to ditch the demagogue and get back to principles instead of personalities.

Clearly, moon, the abortion issue will terminate a lot of republican candidates in '24 but, I will say this,
those republicans are principled people because they know their job is at risk, but they carry on anyway.
btw, I'm pro abortion(6 months) while the Libertarians feel it is a personal choice with the government left out of it.
@earl-of-trumps saidBeing "principled" violators of other people's rights isn't all that commendable.

@averagejoe1 saidSo, there aren’t hundreds of reported cases, then?
Man, you fellers can avoid an issue. A lot of these. "?" Just throwing needless questions out.
You leave a LOT out of this post, like young innocent girls, but I will defer to your thinking that it is OK, due to your morality levels. To each his own. So, what are you doing today? Never mind, we dont want to know.
It’s an imagined problem?
@AverageJoe1
Tell me what this has to do with the fact Ohio citizens overwhelmingly rejected the sinister ploy repubs pulled there, trying to keep abortion from ever being codified in the state constitution? That what it was all about, the vote in November, to make it so any change to the state constitution takes 60 votes instead of 51 and you go off in fringe land with some weird crap having nothing to do with that hypocritical sinister path repubs were trying to impose on a majority of Ohio state citizens.
They wanted to subvert democracy there so they would have total minority rule and it backfired spectacularly.
Repubs state leaders in other states are going to find THEIR draconian laws will probably have the same fate as Ohio.
The fact is the majority of AMERICANS across the country want legal abortions and there is NOTHING you bleeding hearts can do about it.
@earl-of-trumps saidno. they know they have no chance getting moderate votes so they are trying to double down on the ultra conservative ones. They have no economic agenda just this conservative crap

principled republicans. ha!!
@sonhouse saidDo you try to fool us into calling the USA a democracy? Is it a Republic? Can’t be both.

-Removed-No. It is about it being a private matter. To defeat that throaway comment, May I tell you that one can abort a (helpless) baby without money.
Secondly, if they need money to get an abortion, I would think that would have nothing to do with me, so please answer this, do you think it should have something to do with me and my money.? That is a real simple question and you cannot answer.
@sonhouse saidHey, son house. My daughter is going to have a baby, known as a fetus on this forum, in October. She will not get an abortion. A girl down the street is two months pregnant and wants to get an abortion. Do I have anything to do with that girl or do I just have something to do with my daughter. What a simple question.

As usual, no liberals can answer that question. It’s not just your fault.
@averagejoe1 saidIt's been explained to you before. A democratic republic functions on principles shared by both republics and democracies. These two political philosophies can be used interchangeably to describe US government unless you want to really nit pick.
Do you try to fool us into calling the USA a democracy? Is it a Republic? Can’t be both.
@wildgrass saidMaybe i am nitpicking, it gets tiresome on Sonhouse posts that he never says Republic. Thought I would help him along. It is Not a Democracy.

When you pay an obligation, say to a burger stand for making you a burger, after you eat said burger, can you get your money back from the vendor? No, you can't. It's not your money anymore. You spent it.
Same with taxes. Money spent to pay your obligation is not yours anymore. Period.
