Did trump impress all his English professors again by doing The Weave?

The BBC said the following:

Time and time again as the evening progressed, Harris put Trump on the defensive, with a series of jabs and barbs that he felt compelled to address. She called him weak. She said foreign leaders were laughing at him. She said people left his rallies early out of “exhaustion and boredom”.

Harris came into this debate with clear weaknesses in the minds of many Americans, on topics like inflation, immigration and the Afghanistan withdrawal. For the most part, Trump was unable to land his rhetorical punches – and in the days ahead he might come to regret the missed opportunity.

Have there ever been lower points in a Presidential debate than Trump's ludicrous claims about immigrants eating people's pets in Springfield or touting Viktor Orban's "endorsement"?

I almost felt sorry for the old fool.

Don't know what statement was worse, they eat dogs or they murder babies after they were born.
Hey Mikey, did you actually see the debate? He actually said they eat dogs AND kill babies after they were born. An actual candidate for the presidency of the United States of America said that. Hint. It wasn't Kamala. Or putting tens of millions in cages and this time triple the number of children in cages ALA Steve Miller who he would make his personal henchman AG.

I take it from the responses that Kamala did well?

I don't watch U.S. debates because they're mostly theater but in this one I was concerned Trump's chaotic, constantly interrupting, insult-throwing style would overwhelm Kamala.

But then again she has years of experience putting criminals in their place.

She rattled him.
And basically laughed in his face when he was mouth farting stupidity.
And she hammered him proper on the abortion issue.

When it came to points like the economy, which would be her weaker points, she baited him into his stupid monologues, and as he went off rails she looked at him like he was a kid screaming for ice cream in the middle of Winter.

He was who he is, but shouting she's a "Marxist" who "hates America" and "hates Israel" might be red meat for his hard core followers but it's doubtful to play well with undecided independents who will decide the election.
