Ah, from your Southern hideout? Or you mean if you had been there you WOULD have been carrying and would have stopped him the minute he started shooting, putting yourself in harms way to save all those innocent people inside.

BTW, the cops were there in under 2 minutes but he already killed 5 people.

Just how do you think you would have saved any lives even if you were armed?

Suppose you were in your office, say on the third floor and you had to get to floor 1, that would have taken a minute and by that time those people would be dead anyway.

More people were saved because of the quick response of police arresting the perp.

Hmmm. A tragedy unfolding and you've got yer Davey Crockett outfit on and musket in hand.
Picking for a fight.

Nice !! 😕

Information so far.
This was a targeted shooting.

No word yet whether the suspect had "the media is the enemy of the people" on his brain.

Stay tuned.

Sincerely hope that this man wasn't doing Trump's work.
What was it?
"The media is the enemy of the people"? (from memory)

Trump blew the dog whistle many times.
Sooner or later someone listens.

Don't want to contemplate what the US will go through if the POTUS set in motion a sequence of events that resulted in the targetted murders of 5 people.

Trump: "Journalists, like all Americans, should be free
from the fear of being violently attacked while doing their job."

should be

Not sure how "sincere" your hope could be since if you knew anything about the story at all, there would be no reason for such a concern. To your disappointment I'm sure, the man was not an assassin hired by Trump to kill and terrorize media personnel. He held a personal grudge for several years because he believed the news agency defamed him, and he finally snapped. It has zero to do with Trump.

Apparently it was a Hispanic man, probably white, with a pump shotgun.

You wouldn't have to shoot back....if the attacker didn't have a gun.

Focus on the problem, not the symptom.

When I posted there was no information available on the gunman
or his motive and I had mislaid my crystal ball. And you are totally
correct when you say you are "unsure" - you have no idea.

He looks white. I don't know his pedigree. He might be castizo or mestizo, idk.

I for one am relieved that the facts of the story came out the way they did.

Nonetheless, the president has indulged in dog whistle politics on numerous occasions.
And to the point that when the shooting unfolded, the thought has crossed the mind of more than a few.

Trumpsters were heckling a CNN reporter at a GOP event earlier this week.
How much farther can it go before it becomes something more serious.
