Top Trump Executive Allen Weisselberg Surrenders to Face Charges
Donald J. Trump’s long-serving chief financial officer, Allen H. Weisselberg, surrendered on Thursday to the Manhattan district attorney’s office as he and the Trump Organization prepared to face charges in connection with a tax investigation, people with knowledge of the matter said.
The charges against the Trump Organization and Mr. Weisselberg — whom Mr. Trump once praised for doing “whatever was necessary to protect the bottom line” — emerged from the district attorney’s sweeping inquiry into the business practices of Mr. Trump and his company.

@dood111 saidThis is currently breaking news, so it's not known yet.
"face charges in connection with a tax investigation".
In other words you don't know what he's being charged with or even if he's being charged, he's being called in to answer questions.
But...
If we *do* see charges a few days from now, will it make a difference to you? If charges are revealed either this week or next week, will you post back in this thread and say "you're right, Trump is surrounded by criminals and shady people"?
How about it?
@dood111 said"Sudden"? Thirty-four people were indicted in the Mueller investigation alone. And that investigation was lead by *Republicans* (Mueller and Comey are both Republican).
The sudden explosion of Republicans being charged with stuff as soon as the Dems took over may be a clue.
Try again.

@vivify saidThey are deep state, not republican.

It was discovered the mueller investigation was brought about by a FALSE dossier produced by clinton and democrats, the fisa court was lied to, fbi agent (clinesmith) CHANGED official fbi records..
NO ONE received any punishment for this. But you are all tore up about a corrupt NY prosecutor and financial records. You are nothing!

@dood111 saidThere is nothing sudden or political about it. Several cases against Trump and his organization pre-date his presidency. They were on hold during his presidency, but now, out of office, he is no longer immune from prosecution or subpoena.
The sudden explosion of Republicans being charged with stuff as soon as the Dems took over may be a clue.
@mott-the-hoople saidWrong. Seven people were convicted.
NO ONE received any punishment for this.
And that's just from one investigation. That doesn't even count Trump associates like Steve Bannon who were convicted of crimes apart from the Mueller investigation.
