BLM cares about:

Most: Black people killed by white police officers

Less, but still important: Black people killed by non-white police officers

Somewhat: Black people killed by white non-police officers

BLM doesn't seem to give a damn about:

Everyone else

That's like saying synagogues don't give a damn about anyone but Jews.

If it stuck to its one message of protecting black lives from anti-black racism, you'd have a point.

But it's goals (on this website, at least: https://blacklivesmatter.com/what-we-believe/) is a rambling manifesto that's a lot broader than just defending black lives against anti-black racism.

I understand that BLM is decentralized and can hardly be spoken for by one individual, but as it stands, the entire protesting paradigm, as co-opted by the protesters in general seem aimed at one specific very limited form of injustice and hardship.

I didn't see what in that link mentions anything other than improving the plight of blacks. What specifically do you take issue with? There is this one sentence, however:

"To love and desire freedom and justice for ourselves is a prerequisite for wanting the same for others."

That hardly fits your claim that BLM "doesn't a give a damn" about anyone else.

"We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.

We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence."

Yes, they used the word "black" as a modifier to all of those things, but they're plainly commingling other agendas into their mission. "cisgender privilege"? Geez. Give me a break.

My point, exactly. They purport to, but then don't actually activate except in the case of police violence against black people.

@Duchess64 - ... Black Lives Matter is a narrow racially based political interest
group rather than a universal movement for justice?

Duchess, people think that of BLM but they really are a lot more than
a "one trick pony". The angle they show to the public, supporter of Black causes,
is just a bait-and-switch scheme. They really are a Marxist organization
trying to ignite a revolution.

They have a one $Billion war chest and their protesters have been doing
damage in the streets for 16 weeks. Still think this is all because of George Floyd?

So is your gripe that in addition to police brutality, BLM is also tackling other challenges that blacks face, rather than just sticking to cops?
