TV is going away. My wife and I are tired of paying for 100+ channels of sitcoms, westerns, cop shows, and news programs (complete with the usual political garbage) and other stuff we don't like. 10 min. a day on the internet, and we get all the news, sports, and weather we need - MINUS the ad's. I swear, if I see or hear that insurance sales jerk in the yellow clothes, and his stupid bird reminding us "only pay for what you need" one more time I'm throwing a rock through the TV!! Netflix may be in our future, but it's time to put the plug in drug in the shed.
Any other cord cutters here?
@shallow-blue saidAs soon as you do it, a great documentary or something of huge interest to you will be advertised! It happened to me the week I dropped a subscription, and I re-newed it. A hassle. And something about our country changes every hour (Biden tells Russia to drill when that goes against the theory of green earth, or whatever in the hell they call it), and you will want to follow more than you know. Sonhouse may be an exception, he doesn't really need to know any more than he does now.
My telly went haywire. Something with the colour sync. At first the green shifted, the the blue, and finally it wouldn't show an image at all. I put off buying a new one, and after a couple of weeks I found I wasn't missing it at all. So I ended my cable subscription.
I think he once said "I feel more like I do right now than I did this time yesterday'. 😛

I'd consider it if not for the NFL and NHL.
@sh76 saidNo cable / no dish/ no regrets. I pay 20$ a month for Disney+ for the kids, and with Amazon Prime membership ( for expedited shipping ) you get a large selection of movies/shows included in the app. All you need is a firestick, smart TV, or some other streaming device.
Good for you.

I watch (pretty much) what I want to watch when I want to watch it. The side effect is watching less TV overall. What I mean is channel surfing isn't as efficient, so you don't spend as much time doing it. I see this as a positive, to much time in front of the TV is no so good.
You can also get sports package apps for $5-$10 per month. I honestl;y feel like you can have everything you "want" for 1/3 the monthly cost by streaming
