"Sir - The Empire is in peril!"
"You're probably too young to realize, there's rarely a time in our history when we're NOT in some sort of peril"
This paraphrased quote from the Sean Connery film League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, as the elder Allan Quatermain attempts to counsel an overly nervous young British official is too often forgotten these days, and highlights societies short attention span. Viewed through the lens of decades, rather than day to day, we often forget the many positive steps our world has made in the areas of medicine, technology, life expectancy, business opportunities, civil rights, and law. Yes - We have many problems, and yes, this is no time to become complacent, but let us not lose sight of the quality of life on our planet 100 - 200 years ago, and where we are now. 🙂
@Cheesemaster
Funny thing about BLM folks blaming whites.
BECAUSE THEY ARE RIGHT and YOU are a bleeding racist and don't even TRY to deny that.
I wonder how many KKK meetings you go to? Ever do a lynching?
Oh, I forgot, lynches were just fake news, NOBODY EVER got lynched, right?
You are (Put appropriate pejorative here). I don't have words strong enough to condemn you.
@Cheesemaster
Yeah, it's LOCO to even THINK blacks were suppressed and killed not that long ago OR that RIGHT NOW a black trying to get a house in a place whites don't want them, they can't get them there. Yep, those damn blacks, keep out.
@Earl-of-Trumps
What the HELL is that supposed to mean, what does that have to do with 20th century lynches or 21st century racist response to blacks trying to buy a house where whites don't want them?
@cheesemaster said"Failing at life" is a strange way to describe being gunned down by police for no reason
@sonhouse
Trumps fault before Trump came into power?
Polarization?
It was BLM blaming whites because they fail at life that started the "polarization" and that was long before Trump.
@athousandyoung saidThe original message from BLM was noble.
"Failing at life" is a strange way to describe being gunned down by police for no reason
Then they started saying they deserve free everything.
Then the anti white rhetoric started.
Now they blame their lack of success on anyone and anything but themselves.
They should have stayed with the anti cop message and not went into the other BS.
@cheesemaster saidHere are a couple facts
The original message from BLM was noble.
Then they started saying they deserve free everything.
Then the anti white rhetoric started.
Now they blame their lack of success on anyone and anything but themselves.
They should have stayed with the anti cop message and not went into the other BS.
- some of the most prosperous blacks in the world live the USA
- some of the most oppressed blacks in the world, live in countries which are run by black governments, with a predominantly black population.
- the most horrific poverty in black communities is not in the USA. Anyone who things there is serious poverty in the USA, needs to travel.
The post that was quoted here has been removedNonsense, the issues brought up by BLM are far deeper issues than wages and salaries compared to whites. If you really want to understand then start by understanding why there are no prosperous black / black run countries in the world. Who are you going to blame for that. Blacks in these countries face the most horrific oppression imaginable on a scale similar to what Hitler did., This is an ongoing human rights disgrace.
