Is it just me or does anyone else think the police are mimiking a Keystone Cop movie?

Slimjim, I get the feeling from watching this thread stagnate that nobody on RHP is thinking of Aruba at all. Perhaps it's because it was an American girl who vanished.

If she had been Brazilian, they wouldn't act like keystone cops?

I've been watching it on Fox,CNN, BBC,Univision,Telemundo and other news agencies and it seems like to me nobody knows what the hell is going on.

I agree. I keep expecting to find out that she ran away just to get attention but it's been going on too long for that to be likely.

I personally think she was given some kind of date rape drug and something went wrong. Maybe she quit breathing and they dumped her in the ocean. I have an 18 year old daughter and I sure as hell wouldn't let her go to Aruba or anywhere else as long as she lives under my roof. The chaperones apparantly didn't do too good of a job supervising those teens.

It's not looking good for that poor girl. Sadly, young women tend to get themselves in dangerous positions like these all the times. Just recently a friend of a friend was raped at an after-hours club being in a spot where she should have never been in the first place! She was well old enough to know the danger she was putting herself in. Don't trust ANYBODY!

Are you sure? I watch the BBC fairly regularly and I haven't seen anything about this...

Did you notice that the case became even more curious yesterday, what with the jailing of the Dutch judge, the boy's father.
