Covid really screwed up education in general around the entire planet. Pandemics tend to do that, disrupting EVERYTHING including education like the push to zoom learning, having kids on a laptop trying to learn calculus and such, there is no way to keep kids attention where a live teacher can read the class like how a comedian can read the audience and change the spiel.
I never heard of AVID, not being a teacher but isn't the goal to have each kid take over their own education, like what they want to achieve in school, what college they are aiming at and so forth?
So I assume AVID is for High school to motivate kids to make their own decisions about their education?
Why is that bad? What counter examples do you have proving the ineffectiveness of AVID?
I am not pushing for AVID, I just want to know what it is about for real.
Just saying AVID is BULLCRAP is not much of an argument against it.
I want to know more in depth WHY you think it is BS and what you see that is superior.

What is more true is that it's not "the liberal chits in control of our teaching system", it's Donald Trump himself that "will ruin their careers if they don't go along with" him.
"Everyone is afraid of losing their jobs because Donald Trump will ruin their careers if they don't go along with him" is a much more true statement, especially talking about why Congress will not grow some balls and prevent King Donald from destroying America.
