I don't agree at all. The Dark Knight Returns will always be a monumental point in the history of Graphic Novels. I conceed however, that my total Batman fetish may allowme to see things others do not.

Starrman, I'll be very impressed if you can match my unbroken stream of Batman books since Batman 425 and Detective 590.

It's Chris Ware, you simpleton. Jimmy Corrigan is the name of the novel.

You will not be disappointed. Just read a review about it anywhere on the net to get a sense of it.
Ahh, well that's what you get for scan reading.

I'm presuming you've read V for Vendetta?

I have Batman season 1 in Portuguese for some reason, though I admit to not being quite so possesive in the epsiodal stakes.

But if we're going to show our scars off, how's this for pain. I had every single 2000 AD from 1-500 including a hand drawn picture of Durham Red, signed to me from Carlos Ezquerra and my mum gave the collection to Oxfam while I was away at school. I imagine much of my teenage 'it's not fair syndrome' was built upon such cruelty.

Impressive. Wait, isn't 2000 AD a weekly?

Oh no! You...must...go.. to... Morrrdorrrr

That is possibly the worst line delivery in ay film ever. He made an awful Elrond. Mind you, at least we won't get to see his face in V, unless they do a Judge Dredd....

Hush, it's for those little addictions, like having a cigarette break.

I've read some of the Asterix books in French; my French is not very good, but I can report that they are slightly funnier that way.

Frank Miller is a bit overrated however I thoroughly enjoyed many of the Sin City novels. The Dark Knight Returns, to me, was a mediocre and convoluted story.
Frank Miller's shortcomings exposed!
