I bet $50 that the Yankees would finish with a better record than the Red Sox and it now appears highly probable that my investment will turn bad. I was wondering if the US government would be willing to buy my bad investment as they are willing to buy the bad investments the financial service industry, foreign banks and others decided to put into mortgage based securities. After all, if they're willing to pony up $700 billion of the taxpayer's cash (as an initial guess) to cover super rich's folks' bad choices, what about an average Joe like me?

Now, now, we know that you are ANYTHING but an average Joe.

Take that to mean what you like. 😉

Bengal and Buckeye wagers would be included in my bailout proposal.

Are you on the bandwagon now?
