3."The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system."
-in remarks after a health care roundtable with physicians, nurses and health care providers, Washington, D.C., July 20, 2009
4."On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."

“One of the things I will talk about that no president has talked about before is... the dangers of contraception in this country... Many in the Christian faith have said, ‘Well, that’s okay. Contraception’s okay.’ It’s not okay because it’s a license to do things in the sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”
There's such a difference between mis-speaking and saying what you really mean.

Its what the man believes.
Agree or disagree, I cant fault him for not caving on his convictions.
But I still think his policy positions themselves are (or at the very least, should be) ridiculously outside of mainstream American politics, and that's why I find some of his quotes so bizarre. Because, again, he clearly believes in those ideas wholeheartedly, which is obviously more than anyone can say about Obama's "57 states" comment.
