Bizarre - how would they enforce it?

Obviously, bathroom CCTV. That phallocratic gaze...

One of the first things I will teach my children: If something hurts, don't do it.

How about a law penalizing parents who's children suffer these burns because of their negligence? That would put the blame where it really belongs. No child gets into the tub and, the water being too hot, says "I don't think I should get out or I'm going to get a spanking." Even if they are young.

A couple of years ago a friend of mine went to visit her mother who was 90 in the nursing home she had recently moved into in. She was horrified to discover her mothers back and shoulders badly burnt where she had been showered by a so called carer.... Maybe in care homes and sheltered accomodation this wouldn't be such a bad idea

Hmm, fair point. Nursing homes and sheltered housing would be fair enough.

What the hell were the carers doing though? Apart from taking advantage of the vulnerable for money I mean.
As far as I'm aware all new homes are fitted with bath tap temperature regulators now.

Obviously there is nothing to stop you boiling a kettle and pouring the water in the bath though.

It's time to buy automatic weapons, take over a farm in the Cotswolds and turn it into an barbed-wire-surrounded enclave before they move on to the next phase of their massive global conspiracy.

I don't know about there but in nursing homes here the water that comes out of a hot tap is regulated to the right temperature by a thingo on the wall next to the tap. So it's really really hard to cause a burn.
