Oh, what can bring joy to our hearts like a blue wave?
Wisconsin 2020: The Democratic governor tries to postpone the election because of the COVID pandemic, but Republicans want it to go on anyway (on their terms, of course). A GOP State Supreme Court blocks the delay, the SCOTUS overturns a lower court judge's decision to allow absentee ballots to be counted after the day of the election given the confusion and slow processing of the record number of requests for them. The State's biggest city and Democratic bastion, Milwaukee, has to reduce its number of polling places from 180 to 5 for lack of volunteers willing to risk exposure to the COVID.
All nicely set up for Republican incumbent Supreme Court justice Daniel Kelly to turn back a spirited challenge by liberal Jill Karofsky. Dem turnout in urban areas should be depressed because of the virus, tens of thousands won't get their absentee ballots in time and Republican areas (many rural) won't have social distancing problems. Brilliant!
Except:
People in Milwaukee stood for hours in line waiting for a chance to vote literally risking their health to voice their rejection of Trumpism and Republican dirty tricks (see the photo here: https://www.wpr.org/more-1m-wisconsin-vote-mail-full-election-turnout-still-unclear).
"Voters who cast their ballots on Tuesday in Milwaukee waited in lines for hours, some in the middle of a hailstorm, with many wearing masks and gloves, for one of the most dangerous elections in modern American history. The election took place while the state was under a stay-at-home order and while the state Supreme Court, which effectively allowed in-person voting to continue, met virtually."

It was still supposed to be close, but not so much. Karofsky has been declared the winner and leads by a solid 80,000 votes with 80% of precincts reporting. https://www.businessinsider.com/wisconsin-primary-supreme-court-race-live-results-updates-vote-counts-2020-4
Of course, Wisconsin is a swing state that the Donald won narrowly in 2016 (HRC bizarrely never campaigned there).
Read the tea leaves, folks.

@no1marauder saidMuch depends upon Biden's selection as running-mate.

Joe Biden's age makes a VP selection more consequential than usual.
Personally, I'd prefer Elizabeth Warren but would be equally assured with Pete Buttigieg.
This is one area where I feel Hillary tripped-up during her campaign. Tim Kaine is a swell fellow and a decent politician; but to me, he's just not cut from Presidential timber.
One can sense the tectonic shift to come. Conservatives should seek higher ground or test "thoughts and prayers" as they prepare for the azure tsunami.
@no1marauder
Trump's credibility by Americans is in the toilet now. I hope he endorses a lot more reds.
@wolfe63 saidStacy Abrams is his mate.....uhhh, you ole boys sure about this????ohh, the caricatures!!! Dont you know!!! First one you see will be what an ear of vorn

Looks like after she’s buzzed it. One line of corn left at the circumference.

@suzianne saidSorry, apologies for a little levity. Trump will win, and I'd like to keep the humor going. Offsets the anger.
What is wrong with you?
@AverageJoe1
Well you are going to be disappointed. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
Trump will be HAMMERED for his corruption and lack of help during this emergency. His true colors are showing clearly through and they are not good colors. I don't know the color of evil.
