All countries where the citizens rely on the media for information are inherently uninformed. I come from NZ and the average person knows more about Donald Trump's comb-over than there own current affairs, but they take it for granted that they are informed because they watch 2 minute soundbites about the war in Iraq, or the civil war in Sudan. Unbelievable.
Lets not forget - the new media's job is to sell advertising, just like Fear Factor and Celebrity Treasure Island Wisconsin.
