I disagree about reliability. HCR sources every single statement she makes and is very careful about staying in her lane. As an American political historian, she regularly excuses herself from questions outside of her expertise, e.g. foreign affairs.

As for a Left bias, yes. She reflects that Americans have had a left-center bias since the 1930's when the laissez-faire policies of the rightest tycoons and bigwigs of the time ran us straight into the Great Depression.

She is not anti-right, though. She has written a history of the Republican Party and views it as essential to the US political landscape. One of her main themes is that TrumpMAGA is *NOT* a conservative movement - it is a radical, strongman-lead, nationalist movement which has almost nothing to do with the former Republican Party.
