@averagejoe1 saidThis is a bit dated from January 2023 but:
I've seen this as a lie, given the folks coming BACK into the job market after Covid. Biden had nothing to do with those numbers. You could google the actual side of this story, it is all out there.
"With total nonfarm employment exceeding the February 2020 (i.e. pre-pandemic) level by 1.2 million in December".
https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2023/01/us-employment-pre-pandemic/
The increase in manufacturing was already 149,000 jobs over pre-pandemic levels.
EDIT: According to BLS data, there were about 6 million more employed in June 2023 than there were in February 2020 (pre-COVID). https://unemploymentdata.com/charts/historical-employment-data/
@no1marauder saidSee para one on page one, Mott: Kamala tells a diff story. Of course, all posts are subject to parsing!!!!!!

"A manufacturing boom has swept across the country in President Biden's 2½ years in office, with the South and Mountain West — including several red states — having especially strong growth, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data.
Why it matters: The U.S. economy has added some 800,000 manufacturing jobs nationwide,"

When inflation is taken into account, wages have stagnated for 40 years. The middle class is suffering. Tax breaks for the already rich have robbed working wage earners of income and benefits. The weakening of labor unions has also caused wages to lag and benefits to decline.
