@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidCIA’s HISTORY Of Smuggling Drugs Into U.S. From Venezuela!
And you are here to spread inane conspiracy theories.
No, I am just the messenger. 60 Minutes did that for me.

Apparently I gave you too much credit. You are not intelligent enough to work for British intelligence.

Are they getting ready to start a new war?

Is it Venezuela?

The theories (hypotheses):
1) "The US will start a war."
2) "The US will not start a war."
are both conspiracy theories.
Those who disparage the corresponding discussion as a discussion of conspiracy theories are, in effect, trying to ban any discussion of many important aspects of our lives.
There are many things that cannot be discussed at all without invoking some conspiracy theories.
Note, for example, that if the police announces that the citizen N.N. is a crime suspect, then the police has already presented a conspiracy theory.
The demagoguery around the notion of "conspiracy theory" originates from the United States of America. And it is pretty clear that this demagoguery has been upheld for decades on the governmental level.
Note also that all the announcements in the style "Russians probably did it" are also conspiracy theories.

Ghost doesn't like this thread and wants to shut down an honest discussion about it. It is easy to prove Trump tried to overthrow Venezuela by coup in his first term and later boasted about how great it would have been to get all that oil. He and John Bolton were on the same page there. Not sure why Trump fired him. They both boasted about their true intentions in Venezuela.
My best guess is that ghost hates the truth and calling the truth a conspiracy theory is a form of denial. Some people are like that. If the truth is brutal enough they have to hate it and kill the messenger. All I am doing is pointing out that they admitted all of it. Trump and Bolton conspired to overthrow Venezuela to steal their oil. They both boasted about their true intentions.
Some people cannot handle the truth. They desperately want to believe we western countries are the good guys and we are fighting the bad guys. I'm not sure how they rationalize being good oil thieves to fight these bad guys. It is apparent to me there are no good guys when it comes to global power players. It is like competing organized crime syndicates. Which one is the good guy? Neither. Both got that way by being brutal and ruthless. Good guys cannot compete with bad guys without becoming bad guys.
And you are right. Lot of people promote "it was the Russians" conspiracy theories one day and condemn conspiracy theories the next and claim they don't believe conspiracies. They refuse to accept their Russians did it paranoia is a conspiracy theory. They honestly believed Tulsi Gabbard was a Russian asset just because Hillary Clinton said so.
The truth is that almost everyone is a conspiracy theorist. Just about every democrat has an anti Russian conspiracy theory. At one time most black people thought OJ Simpson was innocent because of a conspiracy theory that the cops framed him. What we have here is a culture of conspiracy theorists who are in denial that they are conspiracy theorists and they resort to psychological projection to suppress accepting they are no different than we are. They are trying to suppress their self shame by attacking other conspiracy theorists. Much like a person who has homosexual tendencies attacks homosexuals to fool himself he is not like them. They were taught by their parents that being gay was shameful so they desperately try to prove they are not shameful as they were taught all their lives.
Ghost is a closet conspiracy theorist who is trying to prove to himself he is not one. He believes being a conspiracy theorist is a shameful thing. That is why he is so desperate to deny he is one. It is mostly a self denial. By attacking those like him he can better deny he is one himself. And by attacking me he continues the shame culture so others attack in denial just like him. All because he cannot accept he is who he really is, a conspiracy theorist.
Ghost is a classic case of psychological projection driven by denial. Even if he were to eventually accept he believes in conspiracy theories his would make sense and mine would be crazy even though everybody admitted they want the oil. He is even projecting his craziness. Like getting a full confession to a crime and convincing himself he got a false confession crazy. Trump and Bolton's confessions are conspiracy theories is a crazy thing to say, but notice how many thumbs up he got. He gets support from his fellow crazies in denial. A lot of people cannot handle the truth. The truth is unpopular, even if it is easy to prove.
@Metal-Brain saidI have two comments to make.

First, the term "psychological projecion" you used seems to be indeed highly relevant in the case of political ideologies and political propaganda. Very often, false accusations are made based on psychological projection.
Second, regarding the "truth" you are referring to. I repeat that discussing conspiracy theories is not a sin in itself. However, presenting an unfounded theory as a proven one is a sin. That is, if one presents a conspiracy theory and suggests that it is true and proven, but does not present sufficient evidence, then that is wrong.
Concerning Venezuela. It seems to me that there are sufficient grounds to take seriously the hypothesis that the aim is to get Venezuela's oil, gold and other assets. That is, such a theory feels very plausible. However, I am far from being competent to assert that this theory is definitely true and proven.
@Metal-Brain saidClearly, as dumb as it gets.

@Metal-Brain saidNo, you didn't.
I did not propose a single conspiracy theory on this thread as you well know. Your insane desperation to lie is noted.
You proposed many of them.
@MickeyD saidOMG, another "Trump-as-prophet" baboon.
You know there will not be a”new war, that this is a foolish notion. How doyou know that?,?!
Sue? How do you know that?!.?
Because in your heart, you know that Donald Trump is against War and has the Power, because he’s Donald Trump, to stop any wars, once he resolves his immediate matters.
He hardly wants to start one. Why do you want to poison the minds of your many many followers. Rise up!!
How many times a day do you kneel facing Mar-a-Lago to pray to your Orange Jesus?

"I did not propose a single conspiracy theory on this thread..."
Metal Brain made the same mistakes as his opponents. Metal Brain has tacitly accepted the demagoguery of conspiracy theory critics.
Namely, Metal Brain assumes that a proven conspiracy theory ceases to be a conspiracy theory.
Instead, a conspiracy theory posits the existence of some conspiracy. If there indeed is a conspiracy and one succeeds in proving that, it does not mean that the theory ceases to be a conspiracy theory. Now, it is simply a true and proven conspiracy theory.
That is, Metal Brain had to say that he had not presented any unfounded conspiracy theories. Instead, Metal Brain claimed he had not presented any conspiracy theories.
@Metal-Brain saidGive me one example where I have conscribed to a conspiracy theory here.
Well said.

lets begin with definitions:
conspire - to join in a secret agreement to do an unlawful or wrongful act or an act which becomes unlawful as a result of the secret agreement
This is Merriam Webster, I am open for other defintions.
Main points are "secret" and "wrongful resp. "unlawful".
So an opinion as such is not a conspiracy, neuither is a thesis or a hypothesis.
But if some people secretly work to gether to okbtain a wrngful result e.g. attacking a ship without warning, this could count as conspiracy.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidThat is what I told you to do with me. What conspiracy theory? I have not posted a single conspiracy theory on this thread. If you are referring to another thread make your point there.
Give me one example where I have conscribed to a conspiracy theory here.

I proved intent. Trump tried to overthrow Venezuela by coup in his first term with help from John Bolton. This is a fact, not a theory. I also proved that regime change is Trump's goal now. So now all you have to do is explain why Trump wants regime change if he does not want oil, gold and other assets (which he boasted that was exactly what he wanted) and wants regime change to merely stop drug smuggling which the CIA has been known to do. Can you do that?
https://geopoliticaleconomy.com/2023/06/12/trump-venezuela-oil-coup/
You have to admit it takes a great leap of faith to give Trump the benefit of the doubt when he boasted he could have stolen Venezuela's oil and it would have been great. Trump is reformed thief? Would you let a known thief stay in your house while you were gone based on the assumption he could have changed since then?
Trump admits he wants regime change. Why do you think that is?
