That doesn't work because the landlords will buy up the additional housing so as to maintain control of the housing market.

"The rest of us". Did the rest of us have to deal with endemic, systemic racism our entire lives? No, we didn't. We were free to realize our potential. Many blacks don't have that kind of freedom, BECAUSE of endemic, systemic racism.
