Nixon and Reagan can hardly be mentioned in the same breath, except that whatever either did, they did for their country.

Nixon resigned rather than drag the country through the type of mess that Bill Clinton put it through, and Nixon did so out of a misplaced sense of loyalty to his underlings. How many Democrats fell on their swords to hide Clinton' ...[text shortened]... on's cabinet, and those who failed to be confirmed because of corruption is without equal.
We don't know whether Hillary Clinton gave her consent for her husband to sleep with other partners, so you can't call him a "woman-abusing philanderer". We can't discern any such details about the private lifes of politicians, thus this is a silly thing to judge them on.

It's even possible that Bill Clinton may have set up the Lewinsky scandal to save Hillary's career from the Republican smear machine, who'd falsely accused them both of many things including murder.

Regardless of whether this is true or not, it's a personal matter that should never have been brought to the public's attention in the first place, and certainly not worth the fuss that partisan-minded Republicans made over it. There simply is no comparison between the Lewinsky "scandal" -- which was only such because of Republican over-reaction to it -- and either Watergate or Reagan's screwing the country.

President Clinton said he'd reduce the crime rate and fix the economy, and he did both of those things. Reagan said he'd balance the budget, and he plunged the country into the debt with his neoconservative military spending while repeatedly lying through his teeth about it.
