    I didn't say anything about "heaping" "large" taxes, but yeah, petrol taxes in the US are certainly far too low.

    As for where they should go, bridging the deficit seems like a reasonable option.

    At the pump, including state taxes, government collects roughly six times what the oil companies do on their product.

    Do you believe than any taxes are too high?
