Unfortunately the miserable SOB will get the best medical care Brazil has to offer, and in typical right-wing populist fashion will tout his recovery as further proof of his Übermensch status.

The worry is that he’s either lying about having the virus to set himself up shaking it off in true macho style or he’s got one of the milder strains that means he will recover without hospitalisation ( not that I wish him harm ) but a spell on oxygen would scupper his ‘just the flu’ stance and undermine his attempts understate the public health threat of covid.

Probably. Like the Black Knight in Monty Python - "just a scratch!"

He'll very likely be fine, but not necessarily because he "will get the best medical care Brazil has to offer" but because most people who get COVID will be fine... even in his age group.

PS: You may also want to read about Brazil's COVID treatment kits and it's dramatically improving CFR.

So let's assume that you and your children test positive. What exactly would that mean? It depends who you ask --

It could mean: OMG! you and your kids are infected and a deadly danger to the innocent population, and need to be thrown in quarantine to keep the rest of the world safe.
Or it could mean: You and your kids have already acquired the best vaccination possible and are now immune and can go on with your life without worry.

    So which would you pick?

Are you suggesting "herd immunity" as a means to an end?

    Or it could mean both:

You need to be kept in quarantine to keep the rest of the world safe for a couple of weeks

    AND

Your kids will be fine and you probably will be too; and you probably won't get it again in the next few months, at least.

Louie Gohmert joins the "Plandemic" Conspirators' Club.
Yeah, he's out front, leading by example!
    You go Louie!

"Rep. Louie Gohmert — a Texas Republican who has been walking around the Capitol without a mask — has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to multiple sources.

Gohmert was scheduled to fly to Texas on Wednesday morning with President Donald Trump and tested positive in a pre-screen at the White House. The eighth-term Republican told CNN last month that he was not wearing a mask because he was being tested regularly for the coronavirus."

Very true Pondy, but we should definitely highlight the karmic justice involved with them whom have refused, denied and not modeled good behavior in the public eye and now have this horrific disease.

Noting the hypocrisy of some of these fools is a back-handed way of learning through observation.
