Seems the Islamic terrorists have hit a new low as they've taken to recruiting 6-year-old children to wage their war against civilization:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2007-06-25-afghan-boy-bomber_N.htm

Many liberals and Democrats recoil in disgust at these tactics and say: How can we wage war against an enemy who will do this (the implication, I guess, is that we should surrender)? My immediate response is: How can we not wage war against an enemy who will do this?

I was sent in as a bomber, too, but it was in a B-52 against military targets, so that's OK.

Not sure where I'm going with that. I'm sure there's a big difference in there somewhere. At least I was old enough to know what I was doing.

Does that make me a bad guy?

Actually, I think these type of people are the ONLY ones they can recruit. After all, children are more easily manipulated into doing things than adults. These people don't really believe that they will go to candy land and be met by 70 virgins for blowing themselves to kingdom come, rather, they are simply ravenous vultures who prey on the innocent and ignorant to do their bidding. After all, you NEVER see the top brass from these terrorists organizations sacrificing themselves. In essence, they are incapible and unwilling to die for the cause that they insist others die for. The word hypocrite is much to good for them.

You are absolutely correct about management level terrorists. These guys are almost alway criminals first, then terrorists. If we take away the terrorist part, what is left is what everyone in the world would call a thug. They are robbers, drug dealers etc. It would amaze people how many of these guys were drug dealers. KSM was a fine example. (he's the guy that got caught in Pakistan. You might remember his picture. He was all tired looking and wearing that filthy white t shirt of shame) Zarqawi is another thug criminal.

I think that we have to hope that the boy was not honest. Few things can be as low as that story.

I agree that we have to fight them and that most of the terrorist leaders are power hungry criminals who only use the genuine belief's to gain power.

We have to make sure that the public that support these animals are better educated. I don't see "war" as a good descrition of all the fronts we need to fight these criminals on.

Lying is a skill that develops in adulthood.

How do you help people who hate and distrust you?
How do you tell people that their religion and their religious leaders are the reason for their screwred up mentality ?

Hang on a minute...I don't see American top brass lugging a rifle around Bagdhad slums, either. Recruiting a young boy into an army -- yes, that's ridiculous. But it is always the old men in any nation sending the young men into battle.

I won't go into the effectiveness of suicide attacks on a military level (kamikazees, etc.; there are differing opinions). But as long as recruits are volunteers and of age -- I'm not sure I see a moral dilemma.

As for attacking civilians -- well, that happens in modern war. War is politics by other means -- by any means necessary, in many cases. That's why war is utterly despicable and to be avoided. The 'splendid little war' was a myth from the get-go.

Poor little sod. Just shows the depths of degradation to which the
fanatical followers of Mohammed have sunk.

At it's best configuration, the B-52 could carry 108 bombs weighing 500 to 750 pounds, for a total payload of well over 60,000 pounds total. That's about 20 times what a B-17 could carry in WW2.

So cool.
