Do you think the bristish really crossed the borders and is the stand taken by the iranians justified. What do you think they want in return for the 15 soldiers.?
Will Tony Blair bow down in front of the Iranians listening to their terms & conditions ?
Is some guerilla warfare eminent by the british troops to free their boys ?
If italians were in the same boat i m sure they would have done some heroic things ?

Where is the UK government supposed to have got their GPS evidence from?
The Iranians have the GPS units from the sailors boats, and I thought the helicopter had gone back to the Cornwall, and the Cornwall was supposed to be too far away to support them.
If the Cornwall could see them on radar (dunno if they could see something that small and non-metallic), then they should have seen the Iranians coming.
So how do we know where they were?

Originally posted by rohitmaldeThe Iranians will use this incident in their overall battle against the United Nations Security Council. The Iranians are very clever and skillful negotiaters and they will try to get the most out of this situation, be it economically, diplomatically or politically. They will use this hostage taking to degrade the British government over and over again and they will try and force the Brits on their knees.

I'm afraid this is going to be a very long and for the British a very degrading and painful diplomatic exercise.

Those GPS units were relaying their position back to the ship so the Brits have the records.
"One of the small boats used by the boarding party from HMS Cornwall had a GPS chart plotter, continually communicating its position to HMS Cornwall, where the position was displayed on an electronic chart.
The UK says the two boats were together at all times."
